Rice krispie squares / Riisimuroneliöt

 


Simple and amazing. The only set measurements are the ones that go into caramel, you can add whatever amount of marshmallows and rice krispies for the consistency you want. Add marshmallows gradually. If caramel loses the heat and all marshmallows haven't melted, just put it on low heat in the pan and mix. You can also add anything you want in the batter: I used salted peanuts and white chocolate at some point.

Ingredients

  • 100-125 g marshmallows
  • 2 dl heavy cream
  • 2 dl brown sugar
  • rice krispies
Make the caramel sauce: boil cream and sugar in a sauce pan on medium heat for 10-15 minutes, until a drop of the caramel forms a ball shape when dropped in a glass of cold water. Take the pan off the heat and add marshmallows, mix until they have melted. Add rice krispies until the consistency is what you want. Spread on a tray and let cool down, cut into squares.

Tee kinuski: keitä kermaa ja sokeria kattilassa keskilämmöllä 10-15 minuuttia, kunnes kinuskipisara muodostaa pallon muodon pudotettuna lasilliseen kylmää vettä. Ota pannu liedeltä ja lisää vaahtokarkit, sekoita kunnes ne ovat sulaneet. Lisää riisimuroja, kunnes koostumus on haluamasi. Levitä pellille ja anna jäähtyä, leikkaa neliöiksi.
